Cuzco, Machu Picchu, and the Sacred Valley

For a second year I was able to join one of Dr. Ed Barhhart's Chautauqua Courses. This year we travelled to Peru and visited the Inca capital of Cuzco and the "lost city of the Inca" Machu Picchu. Visiting Machu Picchu was something I have always wanted to do. The visit to Cuzco coincided with the Roman Catholic Feast of Corpus Christi. The trip to Machu Picchu was very close to the winter solstice.
